06.07.2010 - New Shipping/Postage System - Fully Functional.

I have worked hard over the last couple of days to resolve the problems associated with the new shipping and postal rates for the store.  I am pleased to inform all visitors to the store that the system is now fully functional.  There are three Regions - United Kingdom, Europe and the Rest of the World.  I have tested all three regions extensively and I can report that there appears to be no problems for any of the regions.  The new system is based on weight in the same way that the British Royal Mail System operates.  Every item for sale has a given weight albeit for single labels this is a miniscule amount.  Full details of the various shipping weights and systems is given in the "Important Links Module" Item No 15. Please take time to read the information located there.

Do you collect Russian Labels?  A number of themed packets and also sets of labels have recently been uploaded to the store.  The sets are located under Letter R for Russian.  Various new items are being uploaded over the next couple of weeks - please come by often and see if you can pick up a bargain.  To go directly to the Russian labels, just type Russian in the Search Box located in the right side bar - all the new stock will then be listed!!

To all those who visit this web site I profer a warm welcome.  Please be advised that this store is not a commercial venture but a store set up by a collector and archivist of matchbox labels and related materials.   Over the years that I have been collecting, I have built up a fairly large supply of duplicate labels, and decided that to support my desire to produce an Encyclopaedia of Matchbox Labels, I would sell those duplicates.  This eCommerce store is the result of that desire.

To be able to buy from this store requires visitors to register.  This is a free and simple process.  However, to safeguard both the store and it's customers, I have introduced a number of security measures which must be completed prior to full access to the store.  Full details regarding registration and the additional security measures can be found by selecting 'Must Do's - Read This First' from the Importants Links side box located at top right to this page. 

Important Note:  It has come to my attention that you may experience auto logout when using certain browsers.  The browsers concerned are IE6 and Firefox 3.  If when logging in to your account you experience an auto logout (not a session time out which can happen after a length of inactivity), then you may need to change your security settings or upgrade your browser to one of the latest versions. 

Throughout the sales pages in this store you will be presented with a series of letters and numbers starting with the letters LIT.  LIT is the acronym for Label Identity Tag.  As previously mentioned above, I am building a Worldwide Encyclopaedia of Matchbox Labels and these letters and numbers that you see on many of the sales pages refer to the identity tags used to individually identify any single label within the encyclopaedia.  Where labels have been identiifiably tagged, then that tagging will be displayed within these pages

Please make a point of reading all the notes displayed in the Important Links Side Box, as they will be of benefit to you as you progress through the store.  There are no adverts or annoying pop-ups in the store and you can always get back to this page by clicking on any of the 'Home' links scattered at different places throughout the store. 

I have endeavoured to make this store as user friendly as possible, but will be happy to hear from any visitor who feels that I can improve upon the experience of their visit.    To add to the security of the store customers are advised that all payments made through this store are undertaken on an external secure server and not within the store itself.    In this respect, please read  Page 2 located in the left side box "More Information".  This deals extensively with the procedures regarding payments undertaken from this web site.

Finally, please be aware that labels and associated materials are regulary being added to this estore at reasonable and sensible prices and that as a collector I am sure you will benefit from return visits as and when you are able to do so.
